I hoist my Black Butte Porter in your general direction, cheers all. May 2017 suck less than its predecessor. Doubtful, but hope springs eternal, or something.

Ah, no. We’re fucked. But a beer in hand is better than two in the fridge, so...

I was considering getting this years Black Butte, but it’s so expensive up here. Last years was really good though

By Deschutes? I wasn’t aware they ever changed it. Are you thinking of their Jubelale, the annual Winter release?

Yes, I forgot there was the regular Black Butte and the annual fancy release

Oh yeah, I’ve never even seen that on the shelf. All we ever get is the standard stuff in sixers, except for the Jubel occasionally.

Oh gotcha. We have an alright bomber selection from them, they bring that one in every year but it’s like $22 for the bomber. It’s a really good beer, but that’s crazy for one bomber

That is crazy expensive! Most 22s are $7-10 here, though some limited release stuff goes over $20. The selection is good, but the farther away the brewery the less likely I am to see it.

Haha, we watched Return of The Jedi last night.
You know the mountain in Close Encounters of the Third Kind? That’s a butte. Like a steep sided, flat topped hill.

Oh cool!! I haven’t seen that, thanks for the tip.
